Middleton High School is a four-year public secondary school in Middleton, Idaho, United States, the only traditional high school in Middleton School District #134. Middleton High School fire On the morning of February 1, 2007, the school caught fire as a result of the boiler exploding. Seventy percent of the school was ruined, with the damages assessed at $10 million. The 42-year-old school was full of trophies, plaques, memorabilia, and photographs. The band room alone contained $200,000 in instruments, including the associated middle school's instruments. The fire did not result in any deaths. Middleton was named for its location between the old fort Boise and Keeney's Ferry; it being the midpoint between the two. It served as a rest stop for those heading for Keeney's Ferry. Middleton High School was a high school in South Carolina. It is now closed. History The school closed as it gave way to a more modern high school West Ashley High School. The former school was located West of the Ashley in Charleston, S.C. at 1776 William Kennerty Dr. just off SC Hwy 61. The school opened in 1970 and closed its doors as a high school in 2000. Mr. Rufus German was Middleton's principal. He spent many years trying to make Middleton a bigger and better school. The structure of the Middleton High School building was that of St. Andrews Junior High School. Middleton is a city in Hardeman County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 706 at the 2010 census, up from 602 at the 2000 census. It is located at the intersection of Tennessee State Route 125 and Tennessee State Route 57. Its slogan is the "Crossroads of the South". History It is believed that early settlers in Middleton came from Slab Town, a small settlement about north. The town was originally called "Jenkins-McCommons Crossing", after Jesse Jenksins and William Taylor McCommons. These two men came to the area from North Carolina in 1849 and donated the majority of land where Middleton is today.
